As part of the first annual Grassroots Game Conference, held from April 23 through April 29, 2012 throughout the city of Philadelphia, a panel discussion on the subject of independent game studio creation was held.Located in the Elaine C. Levitt Auditorium at the University of the Arts, a group of six Philadelphia-based independent videogame developers gathered to share their experiences. Covering topics ranging from studio origins to development methodology and tools to potential legal issues, this panel is a terrific source of information and insight.In attendance were six game developers representing three studios: William Stallwood and Dain Saint of Cipher Prime Studios, Mike and Tim Ambrogi of Final Form Games, and Ryan Harbinson and Ryan Morrison of Island Officials.
